Cache or Temporary Files are files stored somewhere on your computer when you browse a website. These files are static content such as images (.gif, .jpg, .png, etc), flash files (.swf), multimedia files (.flv, .mp3, etc) or Cascading Style Sheets files (.css). It helps your web browsing much faster by get the files right on your computer instead of downloading them from remote web server.
It’s great, isn’t it. However, because it’s stored on your computer so it uses a lot of space on your hard drive and keep growing every time you go online. Or if you’re a developer, designer or a webmaster and you’re building a website and still checking what’s going with your site whenever you made some changes. You really need your browser load the latest content from the web server instead of loading the old version. Therefore, you need to completely refresh, delete, clear them.
In order to clear all cache or temporary files on your browsers, just follow these simple steps. Note that, I’m using Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 4 and Google Chrome 10 so the process may a little bit different with your current version but it should be the same, I hope
