Msinfo32.exe is a System Information Tool that is included with Windows 7,Vista,2003,2008 and XP. This tool display all your system information such as installed devices, drivers, CPU, BIOS, RAM, Display, Hard Disks, Removable media and much much more information you can find out.
There are 2 ways to start the Microsoft System Information tool, you can use either of the following methods:
1. Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Information
2. Start -> type msinfo32.exe in the Open box -> press OK
I will summarize some informations that are displayed in the System Information Tool I want to check most regular:
- The version of Windows
- Processor/CPU
- BIOS Version/Date
- Physical Memory – RAM
- Hard disk manufacture and capacity
- Display card – VGA
